Described as one who “likes to jolt listeners out of their comfort zones and push boundaries” (C73 Eternal – Insomniac Magazine), Carl Kavorkian precisely does that with his unique blend of rapping and screaming over self produced metal/hardcore/punk influenced hip hop beats. Long after this graphic/Web designer began writing raps in middle school, and shortly after becoming a vocalist for a trio of metal bands, he combined his love of both genres and abilities to create hip hop that rocks as hard as a band. With inspirations such as the bomb squad, dillinger escape plan, and old parliament/funkadelic album covers come to expect the unpredictable from Kavorkian while he proves the point that if you think hip hop is dead, then you aren’t looking in the right places.

Having worked with notables such as Viktor Vaughn (MF Doom) and Mr. Nogatco (Kool Keith), and sharing stages with Cannibal Ox, Sage Francis, Grayskul and others, Carl Kavorkian steps forward with an original style that truly adds to the spectrum of Progressive Hip Hop/Noise Rap. With a recent UK tour with Sleep beggar and Northeast/Midwest tour with Uncommon Nasa in the books for 2016, he continues to share stages with all genres of artists, eager to spread his sound to music lovers wanting to hear something new.

“Carl Kavorkian is a fitting name. The artist operates with a steady precision that is akin to that of a doctor’s.”
